This site has its fame amongst seasoned divers of the Maldives. Just before the sunrise, schooling hammerhead sharks emerge from the depths to this corner as if on cue each morning. They are known to turn up in big numbers. Big Dog tooth tunas and Dolphinfish also lurk at the reef edge together with schools of black snapper to feed in the morning current. There are many other Hammerhead points in the Maldives, but Rasdhoo is the most well known.
